Jenn and Avery's Playdate

Last week Lyz called to say that she got a family membership to the Hands on House. She was able to add a babysitter to her membership so she added Jenn. It is one of Avery's favorite places to hang out, so since Jenn is umemployed, Jenn could go to and they can have fun together. They immediately planned a date for Tuesday.

Avery took to calling Jenn every few hours to discuss what kind of fun they were going to have. And how they would dress up. And how they would paint their faces. It was way cute.

Growing up I really enjoyed the Hands on Museum in Ann Arbor, MI. I have fond memories of my Grandma taking my brother and I for a train ride to it. I used to take the kids from the child care center I worked in there all the time. It was awesome. I was so sad that I would have to miss out on the fun with Avery and Jenn. And I was jealous. I thought I would have to work all week this week since I am taking the weekend off. Avery knew her dad and I wouldn't be coming, she understands that sometimes Daddy and I have to work to make money.

Imagine her surprise when I didn't have to work on Tuesday so I was able to join the party!!

First thing I saw when we walked in was a Gnome...I had to take a picture of it just for Brandi:

Afterwards we went to lunch to compleate our date where more facepainting happened:


We had a wonderful time :)
